The USGA Handicap Seminar & Quiz has been replaced by the USGA Handicap System Education Assessment. Instead of a 4-year cycle, this assessment will be taken in 2016 and 2017. This is an online initiative to assist in evaluating the educational awareness of the USGA Handicap System.
Per USGA guidelines, a representative from the club, preferably the handicap chairperson, should complete the assessment by providing a candid response to each section. Upon completing this assessment, the club’s contact will receive a confirmation e-mail, along with their answers. There is no graded quiz. The assessment will take approximately 20 minutes to complete.
The successful completion of this assessment meets one of the club compliance checklist items necessary for a golf club to be licensed by the USGA. If your golf club is not up-to-date with this compliance, it is no longer able to issue its members a qualifying handicap index.
The USGA Handicap System Education Assessment for 2016 should be completed no later than May 31, 2016.
