2023 MSGA Senior Tour
Play in as many events as you are able! There is no minimum or maximum participation.
Individual event registration: first come, first served basis.
Requirements:
You must be a current member of the Montana State Golf Association, with a GHIN# associated with a Montana club.
You must be a member of the 2023 Senior Tour. Senior Tour Membership – $25. Click here to apply beginning March 15. Please note: This fee is only to play in the Senior Tour events, not the State Senior Tournament or Men’s Senior Amateurs. If you are trying to register for one of these tournaments, click here.
PLEASE NOTE: You must first register in the MSGA Tournament Directory to play in any MSGA event. This is a one-time registration. If you have registered before, click here and sign in from the menu using your email and password (you can skip the GGID field). Then, add the 2023 Senior Tour membership to your cart and checkout. To register in the MSGA Tournament Directory, click here. Then click “Sign In / Register” and “Click Here to Register” to set up your account. Be sure to add your GHIN# so that you are eligible to apply. We recommend using your GHIN login/password so that it’s easy to remember. Once you have registered, come back to this page to apply for the Senior Tour Membership. Eligibility:
Men’s Masters Division: Maximum Handicap Index® of 24.0; Must be at least 60 yrs old by the first day of the event.
Men’s Legends Division: Maximum Handicap Index® of 36.0; Must be at least 70 yrs old by the first day of the event.
Women’s Prestige Division: Maximum Handicap Index® of 36.0; Must be at least 60 yrs old by the first day of the event.
Event Fee:
Each event registration fee is $70, which includes 18 holes, cart, and range balls. A $2 non-refundable credit card fee is added to this cost, for a total of $72. Online registration opens April 1 for all events. There is no paper application available. If you need help applying online, please call 1-800-628-3752, ext 1.
Deadline for entry is 1 week prior to each event, or when field is filled. No refunds will be allowed after this date.
Your entry will be confirmed by email. Unless you have an entry confirmation, you are not officially entered in the Senior Tour event. No entries will be accepted at the host facilities. A list of confirmed players will be posted on each event page.

September 18 – Final (for those who qualify) – Rising Sun Golf Course, Emigrant
Competition:
18 Hole Stroke Play using Modified Stableford scoring. Members of the Senior Tour are eligible to participate in any of the nine events. The top scoring player (gross and net) in each of the three divisions will advance to the Senior Tour Finals held at Rising Sun Golf Course, September 18th.
Modified Scoring:
Hole in One – 9 points
Double Eagle – 9 points
Eagle – 7 points
Birdie – 5 points
Par – 3 Points
Bogey – 1 Point
Double Bogey or worse – 0 Points
Field Size:
Men’s Masters Division – 24
Men’s Legends Division – 24
Women’s Prestige Division – 24
Note: If a Division is filled, a waiting list will be formed. Field sizes will be held until 1 week prior to each event. If a total of 72 players has not been reached, waitlist players will be added to their respective Divisions. You will be notified by email if you are moved off of the waitlist. If you don’t receive an email, check your spam folder.
Player Check In:
Players will check in at the host club on the day of the event.
Start:
All Events will be a 10:00 Shotgun start.
Regulations, Personal Appearance
Distance measuring devices are permitted per USGA Local Rule (Decision 14-3/0.5). No metal or ceramic spikes permitted – soft spikes will be mandatory. Players are required to wear proper golf attire.
Rules of Competition
The USGA Rules of Golf will govern play. A Rules sheet will be provided. The MSGA Tournament Committee, whose decision will be final, will settle questions. The competition will be deemed closed when the winners’ awards have been presented.
Qualifying for Final
Ties for Division winners will be broken by a playoff beginning on Hole 1. Net Players will receive strokes based off of the lowest handicap in the group. Strokes will be given where they fall on the scorecard. If a player wins Gross and Net, they will receive 1st place in the Gross Division. The Net winner will be the next player on the Net leaderboard.

The MSGA Tournament Committee reserves the right to alter any of the conditions, provisions, and/or schedules before or during the Championships.
